Dark Pines Studios was built by a musician, for musicians. Dark Pines Studios and Remote Tracking is the life long dream come true for owner, Max Dearing. Having survived being struck by lightning, music was a large part of the recovery process for Max. It soon became time to pay forward a portion of the the gift of music to future generations. The studio actually started out as a means to create a demo for his band, with just a few pieces of gear... which quickly grew into one of the region's only dedicated mobile recording rigs. Growth meant that there soon needed to be a dedicated mixing facility with the hopes for space to maybe do overdubs. Dark Pines Studio was initially designed by Dearing, and drawings were submitted to Rod Gervais for clean up. Thanks to Rod, the result is nothing short of amazing. The studio is the result of combining the love of music and the desire to create a warm, comfortable and creative environment. The studio features a spacious control room, intimate tracking room and two isolation booths. The majority of the lumber used in the construction was hand milled, by the owner, from oak, walnut and cedar timber found on the property.
The facility was designed to offer a relaxing place to create music in.
